Machine learning engineer Intern

Are you passionate about working on cutting edge technology and deploying machine learning models? We're looking for a machine learning engineer intern who joins our team and helps us apply trend machine learning techniques and invent new ones.

This position

We are looking for a highly motivated student to join our team. Ideally, the candidate is in good academic standing. The candidate is pursuing a degree in either Computer Science, Mathematics, or other related courses. The candidate has taken classes in statistics, probability, statistical inference or introduction to machine learning.

Responsibilities

* Work with lead Technical engineers and senior Machine Learning engineers to define next-generation state-of-the-art algorithms to power Dataak's product.
* Manage and generate technical insights from copious datasets using ML algorithms.
* Work with lead Technical engineers to develop metrics to evaluate model performance.
* Write production level code in PyCharm and unit-test code for the production environment(s).

Basic Qualifications

* Strong Python programming skills.
* Understands software development life cycle and able to produce production-quality code and test cases.
* Good Stats., Mathematics skills
* Familiar with Linux commands and environments
* Good knowledge of fundamental computer science subjects, e.g. data structure and algorithms, OOP.
* Known for being a smart, analytical thinker who approaches their work with logic and enthusiasm.
* Detail-oriented, flexible and can work well in a global team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with the concept of machine learning
* Familiarity and experience with sci-kit learn package
* Experience with Java is a plus

Things you'll learn:

* Hands-on experience with machine learning and deep learning
* Developing deep learning models with Keras/Tensorflow or Pytorch
* Working with Big Data tools and platforms such as ElasticSearch and Apache Solr.

What we offer:
* Floating work time Saturday to Wednesday

** Internship duration will be 3 months **
