Introduction:

 Machine learning team at Fakour creates novel machine learning approaches to OSS and network management applications. They utilize their creativity and innovation to help the firm operate profitably in markets around the globe. All types of learning and AI, including deep learning and statistical learning, are potentially relevant.

 Main Responsibilities: 

You are responsible for data related activities such as data extraction, profiling, cleansing, deduplication, standardization, conversion, transformation and loading, data mining, warehousing, archiving and reporting. Responsible for all activities required to ensure optimum performance and data integrity of datasets in production environments, in line with the requirements. Responsible for providing support of server based databases in development and test environments including database software installation, database creation, performance and capacity design, backup and recovery design, and providing analytical feedback as appropriate. You are required to have experience in working with both databases and data processing libraries in Python.

What You'll Do 

●      Mine and analyze data from different resources, and use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, customer acquisition, and underwriting, as well as, other business outcomes.

●      Assist with exploring large swaths of Data (we process ~1 billion network events per day) and determine the best use of available data for building probabilistic and statistical models.

●      Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.

●      Develop custom models and algorithms to apply to large datasets, as well as, processes for monitoring and analyzing their performance.

●      Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business decisions.

●      Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

●      Bachelors or Masters in quantitative field with 2+ years of experience working with extensive data sets

●      Strong problem solving skills with an emphasis on translating real-life problems into a concrete model development strategy. Blend academic rigor with a sense of pragmatism for rapidly prototyping and delivering solutions.

●      Experience with common data science tools such as Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, NLTK, and Pandas

●      Experience working with big data distributed programming languages, and ecosystems: MapReduce, Kafka

●      Experience in using Python for analysis and modeling (TensorFlow is a big plus)

●      Experience applying a wide range of statistical techniques to large data sets, and understanding their real-world advantages/drawbacks.

●      Knowledge of the following: Deep Learning methods, and databases

●      Knowledge of other coding languages: Java

●      Familiarity with Cloud-based environments and Git

●      Writing and speaking English
