Role Overview

As our Senior Unity Developer, you'll lead the migration of our existing React Native application to Unity (iOS & Android), leveraging cutting-edge AR technologies to create engaging, interactive experiences that connect the digital and physical worlds. You'll work closely with our senior React Native developer and BE team to implement geospatial anchoring, surface detection, and real-time collaboration features that form the backbone of our location-based platform.

Responsibilities

Lead the migration process from our existing React Native app to Unity, ensuring continuity and maintaining app identity across platforms
Develop and optimize AR experiences using Unity (C#), AR Foundation, and related technologies
Implement Google Geospatial API for persistent AR experiences and location-based features
Create scalable solutions for multi-regional AR activations that work seamlessly across mobile devices and AR glasses
Integrate with cloud services (Firebase, Google Cloud) for real-time data synchronization, user authentication, and asset storage
Optimize 3D rendering, asset loading, and overall performance to ensure smooth experiences on various devices
Collaborate with design, product, and backend teams to create cohesive AR experiences
Mentor junior developers and establish best practices for AR development

Requirements

5+ years of professional Unity development experience, with at least 3 years focused on mobile development
Strong expertise in AR development using Unity AR Foundation, ARCore, and/or ARKit
Experience with geospatial AR implementations and cloud anchor technologies
Proficiency in C# programming and Unity's rendering pipeline (URP)
Experience integrating cloud services (Firebase, Google Cloud) with Unity applications
Knowledge of 3D modeling formats (glTF/GLB) and optimization techniques
Understanding of app signing and deployment requirements for maintaining app identity during migration
Experience with Git and modern software development workflows
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Strong communication skills and ability to lead technical discussions
