Position Overview

The Senior Data Scientist | Senior Data Analyst is a hands-on analytical role responsible for building, deploying, and maintaining models and reports that drive evidence-based decision-making across our client’s programs and operations. This role supports the full data science lifecycle—from exploratory analysis and model development through deployment, monitoring, and stakeholder communication. The ideal candidate is technically strong, communicates clearly with non-technical audiences, and is motivated by the opportunity to apply data science in several services for healthcare, retail, ecommerce, logistics and so on.

Duties/Responsibilitie

Design, develop, validate, and deploy predictive models and analytical reports that address core business and programmatic objectives.
Ensure models and reports are explainable, well-documented, and accompanied by clear articulation of assumptions, opportunities, and limitations.
Monitor deployed models for data drift, performance degradation, and quality issues; lead remediation efforts as needed.
SQL and Python fluent. You have advanced SQL skills and are experienced with cloud data warehouses (BigQuery preferred), and you write clean, maintainable Python.
A model builder. You have hands-on experience building traditional ML models (classification, regression, or similar) and taking them from prototype through production deployment, including ongoing performance monitoring.
Statistically grounded. You have strong statistical fundamentals underpinning your modeling work: feature engineering, validation methodology, and the judgment to know when a model is (and isn't) the right tool.
A driver of adoption. You've driven real adoption of tools you've built, not just shipped them: getting stakeholders to actually change how they work.
A clear communicator. You communicate well with non-technical stakeholders, translating requirements into models and tools they can actually use.

Required Skills/Abilities

Programming & Analytics: Strong proficiency in Python or R for data analysis, modeling, and reporting; experience with libraries such as pandas, scikit‑learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or tidyverse.
Cloud & Data Platforms: Hands‑on experience with modern cloud ecosystems—AWS (S3, Glue, EMR, Lambda, Athena, Redshift), Azure (Data Factory, Synapse, ADLS, Databricks), or GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Composer).
Data Warehousing & ELT: Expertise with Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery, including dimensional modeling, ELT pipeline design, and performance optimization.
Big Data & Distributed Systems: Practical experience with Spark (batch and Structured Streaming) or Hadoop for large‑scale data processing.
Experimentation & Statistics: Strong foundation in regression, classification, clustering, causal inference, experimental design, and A/B testing.
Data Quality & Reconciliation: Ability to ensure consistency across offline sales, digital media, CRM, and attribution systems; familiarity with data validation and reconciliation frameworks.
Streaming & Real‑Time Data: Experience with Kafka, Kinesis, or Spark Structured Streaming for real‑time ingestion and processing.
Advanced Modeling & MLOps: Experience developing, validating, deploying, and monitoring models in production; understanding of MLOps workflows, model lifecycle management, and tools such as MLflow.
BI & Visualization: Proficiency with Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or Microsoft Fabric for enterprise reporting and dashboard development.
Automation & CI/CD: Familiarity with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Terraform, dbt (including tests), and automated deployment workflows.
Governance & Security: Knowledge of IAM, Unity Catalog, role‑based access control, PII handling, and GDPR/CCPA compliance.
Communication: Ability to translate complex technical findings into clear insights for senior leadership and business stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in data science, data analytics, machine learning, or a related field.
Strong proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and machine learning.
Experience with SQL and relational databases.
Solid understanding of statistics, probability, machine learning, and data modeling concepts.
Experience working with data visualization and reporting tools.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
