At Bankino, we are building the data foundation for modern banking. As our Senior Data Engineer, you will take ownership of designing, managing, and delivering data across the company. Your work will shape how data moves through our systems and supports business decisions. This role offers an opportunity to shape a data platform that evolves with the business, leaving a lasting impact on our products and analytics.


What You’ll Do

  • Design and develop the core data platform: Lead architecture and deployment efforts to ensure scalability and reliability from day one.
  • Develop and operate data pipelines: Build and maintain batch and real-time workflows using Airflow, Kafka, and Spark, deploying them reliably with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
  • Model and transform datasets: Enable analytical and machine learning use cases with dbt, ClickHouse, or similar tools.
  • Establish and automate standards: Drive data quality, reliability, and observability through robust monitoring practices.
  • Collaborate across teams: Partner with product, analytics, and engineering to align data systems with business priorities and accelerate insights.

Who You Are

  • Experienced and business-minded: You have 5+ years of experience designing and delivering data systems from concept to production, with a clear understanding of how data drives business outcomes.
  • Strong software foundation: You write maintainable, tested code and design clear, well-documented APIs.
  • Technically versatile: You’re comfortable working with Airflow, Spark/Flink, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines, and you can integrate new tools as the platform evolves.
  • Proficient in Python and SQL: You have hands-on experience in data modeling and working with analytical databases.
  • Collaborative communicator: You can explain complex systems clearly and work well across technical and non-technical teams.
