About Us

We are building a comprehensive cryptocurrency and financial data platform focused on market data collection, processing, and distribution. Our platform provides high-quality, reliable market data to individuals, organizations, and exchanges across the crypto ecosystem.

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our new data team. You will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our data pipeline infrastructure using open-source technologies. You'll build scalable systems that collect, transform, and serve real-time cryptocurrency market data.

What You'll Do

Design and build robust data pipelines to process high volumes of incoming data
Develop and maintain ETL/ELT workflows using open-source technologies (e.g., Apache Flink)
Implement data quality mechanisms to ensure the accuracy and completeness of market data
Optimize data storage and retrieval for time-series data
Build monitoring and alerting systems for data pipeline health
Collaborate with other engineers to ensure data reliability and accessibility
Document data models, pipelines, and architecture

What We're Looking For

4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role
Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala
Experience with open-source data processing frameworks (Apache Flink, Spark, Kafka, etc.)
Knowledge of SQL and experience with time-series databases
Experience building and maintaining data pipelines
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and data integration patterns
Ability to design and implement efficient ETL processes
Understanding of data modeling techniques
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Bonus Points

Experience working with cryptocurrency or financial market data
Knowledge of TimescaleDB, ClickHouse, or similar time-series databases
Understanding of cryptocurrency exchange APIs
Familiarity with financial data concepts (OHLCV, order books, etc.)
Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools
Previous work with real-time, high-volume data processing systems
