شرح موقعیت شغلی

Job purpose

Quantitative Analyst, which is briefly called Quant, are professionals specialized in design, development, and implementation of financial, mathematical, statistical and physical models and tools for algorithmic trading, risk management, and investment management. To accomplish such tasks, they combine techniques and knowledges from multiple disciplines such as finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, physics, and computer science. 

Duties and responsibilities

  • To design and implement trading algorithms.
  • To do statistical market data and market structure analysis. 
  • To create, test, monitor, validate, and improve existing trading models.
  • To perform risk analysis, and portfolio management.
  • To do financial research for better understanding of market.
Qualifications

  • Degrees (Master’s or PhD is preferred) in quantitative disciplines including Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, physics, engineering, and computer science. 
  • Great background in calculus, data structure, finance, micro- and macro-economics, probability and statistics, financial management and risk and uncertainty analysis. 
  • Fair understanding of trading markets, machine learning and artificial intelligence, and computer programming languages such as C++, Java or Python.  
  • Having creativity, innovation, team work ability, and oral- written communication skill. 
  • Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience.
Working conditions

Quantitative analysis requires numerous dedicated hours of working normally more than regular jobs. To take on this carrier an absolute punctuality and discipline is required to touch meaningful success.
