About AIMedic:

AIMedic is an innovation-driven technology company committed to building next-generation AI solutions. We are launching an intensive AI Engineering Bootcamp to cultivate top-tier talent capable of developing and deploying AI software end-to-end. We are looking for passionate experts to join our executive committee and help shape this program.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Backend Engineer to lead the backend, database, and deployment curriculum for our AI Engineering Bootcamp. This is a unique hybrid role that combines deep technical expertise with a passion for teaching and mentorship. You will be responsible for designing hands-on projects that teach participants how to build production-grade infrastructure for AI systems. More importantly, you will mentor them directly, guiding them through complex technical challenges and preparing them for real-world engineering roles.

What You'll Do:

● Curriculum & Project Design: Design and develop engaging, hands-on projects and tasks covering backend development, databases, deployment, and MLOps, based on the bootcamp's curriculum.

● Mentorship & Guidance: Act as a dedicated mentor for bootcamp participants. Provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and help them solve complex problems related to deploying AI models and building robust applications.

● Technical Leadership: Lead workshops and technical sessions on backend and MLOps best practices, ensuring participants gain the skills needed for production environments.

● Infrastructure Management: Build and maintain the underlying infrastructure used for bootcamp projects, ensuring a stable and effective learning environment.

● Collaboration: Work closely with other mentors (e.g., NLP, Computer Vision specialists) to create cohesive, end-to-end projects that integrate advanced AI models with scalable backend services.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

● Proven experience in
Production-Grade Backend Development, including building robust, asynchronous REST APIs.

● Expertise with modern Python backend frameworks like
FastAPI and testing tools like Pytest.

● Strong proficiency with both
Relational Databases (SQL) like PostgreSQL and NoSQL Databases like MongoDB.

● Deep knowledge of database integration using ORMs like
SQLAlchemy.

● Hands-on experience with
Deployment & Infrastructure, including containerization with Docker, Docker Compose, and building CI/CD pipelines with tools like GitHub Actions.

● Familiarity with deploying applications on cloud platforms (e.g.,
AWS SageMaker, GCP Vertex AI) and using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools like Terraform.

● Solid understanding of
Cloud & MLOps principles, including experiment tracking and model versioning with tools like MLflow.

● Familiarity with advanced CI/CD for machine learning using feature stores like
Feast or Tecton.

● A passion for teaching, mentorship, and empowering the next generation of engineers.

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Bonus Skills:

● Experience building data pipelines with
Apache Airflow or Dagster.

● Knowledge of streaming data processing with
Apache Kafka or Spark Streaming.
