شرح موقعیت شغلی

What we need here as data science is to solve problems with automatic solutions. We mostly focus on artificial intelligence, especially interpretable deep learning.

What we do here as a data scientist:
Training a model from 0 to 100 to become ready to do whatever an expert human can do in a real task e.g. detecting diseases from medical images with performance higher than or comparable to the human expert. This contains:

Preprocessing the data to make training the model easier and more prone to problems and errors
Training several models (famous architectures and our own designed ones) on the data till reaching the best we can!
Searching for better solutions to the challenges we face for each project (e.g. High resolution of images in mammograms), reading papers to find solutions, and also thinking about extra solutions.
Validating the performance of the model from different points of view before finalizing it. As the model is supposed to do a real job and it’s crucial to become sure about its performance.

The required knowledge:

Basics of machine learning, classical machine learning models, and the known issues in machine learning models (e.g. overfitting, batch effects, and ...)
Basics of deep learning, familiarity with different famous architectures, known issues in training deep models, and methods for solving the common issues
Knowing about how to verify the trained models to make sure there is nothing wrong with them (e.g. biasedness to a batch of data)

The required skills:

Python, Completely dominant to NumPy and Pandas, PyTorch or TensorFlow
The required experiences:

At least one year in training deep models
At least one project with a large, preferably real, data
Coding lover, relatively fast and clean coder, not afraid of mud work

تیم CommaMed، متشکل از جمعی از دانشجویان و فارغ‌التحصیلان آزمایشگاه یادگیری ماشین و علوم داده دانشگاه صنعتی شریف می‌باشد که در سال ۱۳۹۸ شکل گرفته است. هدف از تشکیل این تیم، تلاش برای ایجاد پیوندی بین علوم پزشکی و هوش مصنوعی و کمک به پزشکان و متخصصان برای تشخیص بیماری‌ها با کمترین هزینه و بیشترین سرعت و دقت می‌باشد. AI-Med، با کمک محققان برجسته‌ای در زمینه‌ی هوش مصنوعی، در تلاش است که خدمات بیشتری در زمینه‌ی تشخیص و درمان بیماری‌های مختلف از جمله سرطان به سراسر کشور و حتی جهان، عرضه کند.
