Chief Social Media Officer (Web3)

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Keen interest in Crypto, Blockchain, Defi, NFTs, and Metaverse is required.
  2. Fluency in English is mandatory.
  3. Advertising Agencies' and Crypto companies' experience is highly preferred.

We are seeking a Chief Social Media Officer with a deep interest in Crypto, Blockchain, Defi, NFTs, and the Metaverse. This role is instrumental in leading Unidef's digital and social strategy for Web3 and the Metaverse, building internal expertise, and advising across our organization.


What You'll Be Doing (i.e., Job Duties)

  • Spearhead the growth of Unidef’s Social & Performance business in terms of revenue and capability.
  • Lead, develop, and manage strategies for key regional and global accounts across social, content, and creative sectors.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance our clients’ businesses and grow our revenue.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to direct and indirect team members.
  • Develop and influence relationships across Unidef to ensure business growth.
  • Lead thought leadership by developing and presenting our point of view on social, digital, and web3/metaverse.

Talent Capability/Acquisition and Development Duties:

  • Drive evolution of high-performance culture through active networking, performance management, and employee engagement.
  • Participate in critical assessment of assigned talent at all levels and ensure developmental plans and feedback in place.
  • Stay up-to-date on technology, tools, techniques, communication software, social media, and self-awareness.
  • Educate internal teams and clients on crypto best practices and socialize expertise.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the team and provide ongoing proactive feedback and direction.


Requirements:

  • Fluent in English with strong copy editing skills.
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent with a strong academic record.
  • 8+ years of experience developing and executing social media programs in an agency environment OR in a digital agency environment.
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Excellent talent management skills.
  • Ability to plan and execute multiple projects simultaneously in an organized fashion.
  • Passion for social media and word-of-mouth marketing.
Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience in a multinational business.
  • Experience or interest in the crypto/blockchain space.
  • Familiarity with decentralized Crypto software such as Metamask, DEXs LiquidityPools, etc.
  • Knowledge of finance, asset management, and CEXs is a plus.
  • Proficiency in local languages such as Turkish, Persian, Russian, Ukrainian, and Arabic is a plus.
