We are looking for a Data Scientist who will support our product teams with insights gained from analyzing large amounts of raw information. The ideal
candidate must have strong experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, building and implementing
models, using/creating algorithms, and creating/running simulations. They should be highly analytical with a knack for analysis, math, and statistics. Critical
thinking and problem-solving skills are essential for interpreting data. We also want to see a passion for machine learning and research.
Responsibilities:
Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development.
Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting, and other business outcomes.
Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
Present information using data visualization techniques
Collaborate with engineering and product development teams

Qualifications:
Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development.
Proven experience as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst
Experience in data mining
Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world
advantages/drawbacks.
Knowledge of R, SQL, and Python; familiarity with Scala, Java, or C++ is an asset
Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests, and proper usage, etc.) and
experience with applications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.
BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field; graduate degree in Data Science or other quantitative field is preferred
