About the Role
We are looking for a visionary, meticulous, and tech-savvy Senior Automation Test Engineer to revolutionize our Quality Assurance ecosystem. In this role, your ultimate mission is a Zero-Bug Mentality designing and executing a bulletproof testing strategy that ensures critical bugs never reach production.
You are someone who lives on the cutting edge of QA technology, naturally integrates Artificial Intelligence (AI) into your daily workflow to multiply efficiency, and possesses deep expertise in Playwright. You know how to build highly resilient automation suites that survive UI overhauls, while still appreciating the tactical value of exploratory manual testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect Modern Test Frameworks: Design, scale, and maintain robust end-to-end (E2E) automation frameworks from scratch, with a primary focus on Playwright.
- AI-Driven QA Innovation: Leverage AI tools and LLMs (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or autonomous testing agents) to accelerate test generation, optimize test data creation, and conduct predictive log analysis.
- Build UI-Resilient Tests: Write ultra-stable automation scripts using advanced locating strategies (e.g., robust locators, auto-waiting) ensuring tests remain unbroken and flake-free even when the UI layout evolves.
- Smart Manual & Exploratory Testing: Conduct high-level manual testing and exploratory sessions for complex scenarios and early-stage features before they are automated.
- CI/CD Integration: Seamlessly embed automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and instant regression feedback on every deploy.
- Root Cause Analysis: Partner closely with developers to investigate test failures, isolate edge cases, and ensure swift resolution of defects before release.
Technical Requirements
- Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in software test automation, specifically focused on modern web applications.
- Playwright Mastery: Deep hands-on experience with Playwright (preferably utilizing Python).
- Flake-Free Strategy: Proven track record of defeating test flakiness by implementing best practices like the Page Object Model (POM) and API-backed state setup.
- AI Tooling Proficiency: Practical experience using AI-assisted coding and testing tools to optimize QA lifecycles.
- Manual Testing Fundamentals: Strong foundational understanding of QA methodologies, test case design, and specialized exploratory testing techniques.
- API Testing: Proficient in automating RESTful or GraphQL API testing alongside UI automation.
- DevOps / CI/CD: Hands-on experience with tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
