RealPars is seeking a detail-oriented backend developer to help us import and refine product data from our suppliers into our marketplace and then keep the data updated. We are always adding new suppliers so this is an ongoing job.

To succeed, you must be flexible and be able to easily accommodate changing requirements, be able to quickly understand the similarities and differences between different datasets, and proactively seek out ways to improve and scale up our dataset building efforts. 

You will need to be a logical problem-solver, an effective communicator, a self-starter, and highly motivated. 


Requirements: 


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Passion for data and quality.
  • Strong analysis and troubleshooting skills.
  • Detail-oriented, with a sharp eye for visual differences between images.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. (English)
  • Experience in statistics, and UX design
  • At least 2 years of experience with analytical software such as Excel.
  • At least 2 years of combined experience with Python, modern JavaScript, CSS3, HTML5 and SQL

Responsibilities include:

 - Parse unstructured text/pdf/image data into a structured dataset 

- Scrape a given website/directory and extract the desired dataset into CSV, Excel, SQL, JSON, etc. 

- Scrape e-commerce products information from our partner’s sites into the RealPars eCommerce platform 

 - Create custom web scraping tools to use in demand. 

 - Create scripts to keep the database updated daily with newly-added items, or existing items' changes. 


Note: This is a remote position which means you can work from anywhere across the country, however, you need to be available during the work hours.
  (Saturday - Wednesday 8 am - 5 pm)
