Job Descriptions:

First line of contact in DB cluster related issues/maintenance and optimization
Regular reporting based on the various tools available on DB performance
Develop observing eyes particularly in the peak-hours on the queries and
Proactively communicate the queries’ correction alteration
To be a MySQL swiss-army
Develop and maintain database structures that utilize database architectural standards (normalized tables, primary keys, foreign keys, events, triggers, etc.)
Monitor and evaluate database performance and perform maintenance duties such as tuning, backup and restoration and disaster recovery whenever need.
Formulate and implement policies, procedures and standards related to database management, database security and monitors transaction activity and utilization.

Requirements:

Well equipped with the Linux environment knowledge and its integration to MySQL
Knowledge of Percona tools, backup scripts and manipulation of the MySQL cluster using audit tools, monitoring and logging diagnostics
A well knowledge of Galera cluster and working with PMM
Knowledge of database tuning, performance optimization and handling +TB databases routinely
Expert in installation and maintaining clusters of RDBMS of the kind: Galera, Postgres, Timescale; or non-relational of Mongo, Cassandra and/or ElasticSearch.
Highly effective working in a team, as well as working independently
Sense of ownership and proactivity in his responsibility
Bachelor’s Degree in Technology Systems (Information Technology/ Computer Science/ Computer Engineering) or a related discipline .
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Installing, Managing, Administration, Optimizing the DBs, with high throughput.
