Job Summary:
The Senior Infrastructure Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the efforts of the DevOps, Network, Security and internal IT teams. This role is crucial for ensuring the technical infrastructure is robust, secure, and efficiently supports the business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership & Management
- Lead and manage the DevOps, Network, Security, and the internal IT teams.
- Develop KPIs and objectives for each team to measure performance and effectiveness.
2. Strategic Planning
- Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to develop and implement a strategic infrastructure roadmap.
- Ensure infrastructure scalability and reliability to meet current and future business needs.
3. Budget Management
- Develop and manage budgets for infrastructure projects and operational costs.
4. Technical Oversight
- Oversee architecture, design, and implementation of all infrastructure-related solutions.
- Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery capabilities are in place.
5. Security & Compliance
- Oversee network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
6. Vendor Management
- Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors and service providers.
7. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain detailed documentation for infrastructure systems, policies, and procedures.
- Produce regular reports on infrastructure performance and planning.
8. Professional Development
- Keep abreast of the latest technologies and trends in infrastructure management.
- Mentor and guide team members for professional growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure roles, with at least 5 years in a managerial position.
- Strong understanding of DevOps, Network, Security, Storage, and Virtualization technologies.
- Expertise in:
- Networking hardware and protocols, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Server and storage solutions, including on-premises and cloud-based options.
- Cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Containerization technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.
- CI/CD pipelines, including tools like Git, GitHub Actions, Gitlab, or similar.
- IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible or similar.
- Monitoring solutions like Prometheus, Grafana, or other monitoring tools.
- Log management and analytics using ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) stack.
- Strong background in cybersecurity, including penetration testing and security compliance and auditing.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
