As a QA Engineer at Snapptrip, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our online travel platform. You will be responsible for executing comprehensive testing across various verticals, including flights, hotels, and packages. Your duties will also involve test scenario creation, collaboration with product managers and technical teams, and implementing effective test engineering processes.
Responsibilities
- Test Planning and Execution:
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and strategies to ensure the quality of our platform.
- Design and create test cases and scenarios to cover various functional and non-functional aspects.
- Execute manual and automated tests to identify defects and ensure product quality.
- Test Automation:
- Implement and maintain automated test frameworks using appropriate tools and technologies.
- Develop and execute automated test scripts to improve efficiency and coverage.
- Defect Tracking and Management:
- Accurately report and track defects using a defect tracking system.
- Collaborate with development teams to resolve issues and ensure timely fixes.
- Test Engineering:
- Contribute to the development and improvement of QA processes and methodologies.
- Research and implement new testing tools and techniques.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the QA team.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure quality deliverables.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on code quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
- Experience with manual and automated testing techniques.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java).
- Knowledge of test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
