Junior Business Intelligence Developer

About the Role: We are seeking a passionate Junior Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to join our dynamic team. This entry-level role focuses on supporting the design, development, and maintenance of data warehouse and analytics architectures. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of the BI project lifecycle and a keen interest in developing their skills within the Microsoft BI Platform to meet business needs. You will be involved in data integration projects, following best practices and learning implementation strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting Data Infrastructure Design: Assist in developing and enhancing data infrastructure, including data warehouses and OLAP systems.
  • Developing ETL Pipelines: Help implement ETL pipelines from various data sources, ensuring high data quality throughout the process.
  • Monitoring Performance: Aid in monitoring query performance and ETL pipelines to ensure they meet required performance criteria.
  • Maintaining Documentation: Assist in producing and updating detailed technical documentation.
Requirements:

  • Professional Experience: 0-2 years of experience in a related role.
  • Microsoft BI Knowledge: Basic understanding of SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS (Multi-Dimensional, Tabular), and SSRS.
  • T-SQL Skills: Basic skills in developing T-SQL.
  • Dimensional Modeling: Foundational knowledge of dimensional modeling techniques.
  • Data Quality Awareness: Awareness of data quality principles and concepts.
  • Performance Optimization Interest: Willingness to learn about query and database performance tuning.
  • Business Acumen: Interest in understanding and analyzing businesses to provide data-driven solutions.
  • Reporting Tools: Familiarity with Power BI or other reporting tools is a plus.
  • Big Data Technologies: Exposure to "big data" technologies such as Kafka, Hive, or Spark is an advantage.
  • Python: Basic knowledge of Python data packages (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib) is a plus.
  • C#: Exposure to C# is beneficial.
