Job brief


We are looking for a competent Help desk technician to provide fast and useful technical assistance on computer systems. You will answer queries on basic technical issues and offer advice to solve them.
An excellent Help desk technician must have the good technical knowledge and be able to communicate effectively to understand the problem and explain its solution. They must also be customer-oriented and patient to deal with employees difficult.
The goal is to create value for employees that will help preserve the company’s reputation and business.


Responsibilities


  •  Maintaining and monitoring networks and servers.
  •  Installing, configuring, and preparing network equipment such as routers, switches, and other network devices such as Wireless LAN controllers.
  • Monitoring Network and server health and performance by monitoring solutions.
  • Troubleshooting network incidents.
  •  Troubleshooting of LAN and WAN.
  •  Administering Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Keeping up to date with advancements and best practices in IT administration.
  •  Documenting processes, as well as backing up and archiving data.
  • Upgrading, installing and configuring new hardware and software to meet company objectives.
  •  Implementing security protocols and procedures to prevent potential threats.
  •  Knowledge of CCNA is a must.
  •  Knowledge of MCSA is a must.
  • Extensive experience with IT systems, networks, and related technologies.
  •  Having experience in Cisco/Mikrotik devices like Switch, Router, and so on (or any other manageable devices).
  •  Familiarity with Server Virtualization concepts.
  •  Familiarity with UTM/Firewall.
  •  Familiarity with system and network monitoring systems (Zabbix, PRTG, etc)
  •  Familiarity with the ticketing system and managing requests and issues
  • Knowledge of best practices in IT administration and system security.
  •  Familiar with ITIL and ticketing systems.
Requirements and skills


  • Proven experience in a help desk technician role
  • Tech-savvy with working knowledge of office automation products, databases, and remote control
  • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
  • Proficiency in English
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Customer-oriented and cool-tempered
  • BSc/BA in IT, Computer Science, or relevant field
  • Ability to read and create technical documents and reports.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • A committed, disciplined, result-oriented, and professional attitude.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
