Role Mission

Analyze sales, user behavior, and operational data to answer key business questions (increase sales, reduce cancellations/returns, improve conversion rate).
Design and implement analytical and machine learning models (e.g., sales forecasting, customer segmentation, fraud/return risk scoring) that are actually used in reports, dashboards, or internal processes.
Translate business requests from Marketing, Product, and Operations into concrete, deliverable analytical projects.

Key Responsibilities

Perform analysis on orders, users, products, and marketing data using SQL and Python.
Build predictive and segmentation models, such as:
- sales forecasts per category/product,
- repeat-purchase propensity,
- anomaly/fraud or return-risk detection for orders.
Evaluate impact using simple, practical methods, for example:
- before/after comparisons over time,
- or comparison between segments (cities/categories) with and without the new rule/model.
Develop clean, reproducible notebooks and scripts for re-running analysis and models.
Document assumptions, methods, outputs, and business recommendations in a clear way for stakeholders.
Collaborate with data engineers to improve data accessibility and dataset quality.
Work with Product/Marketing teams to define questions, collect feedback, and iterate on analyses/models.

Skills & Requirements

4–5+ years of experience in data science / analytics in a business environment (preferably e‑commerce, retail, or fintech).
Strong experience with:
- SQL on operational/warehouse databases,
- Python (pandas, scikit‑learn, preferably some time‑series library),
- basic statistics and simple tests (t‑test, before/after comparison).
Proven track record of models/analyses being used in real business decisions.
Ability to communicate results clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.
