About the Role
To identify and engage high-potential Instagram merchants—primarily in fashion, beauty, accessories, and lifestyle categories—by understanding their business needs and guiding them through the complete acquisition and onboarding journey.
The role ensures a trust-based and efficient Discovery → Outreach → Negotiation → Onboarding → Activation process that helps merchants successfully launch their storefront and start selling on InstaaShop.
Responsibilities
- Identify and segment high-potential Instagram stores and merchants using Instagram, market research, and internal lead lists.
- Reach out to merchants via Instagram DM, WhatsApp, phone calls, or in-person meetings to introduce InstaaShop and build trusted relationships.
- Understand merchants' business needs and demonstrate how InstaaShop can help them reach more customers and grow their business.
- Negotiate partnership terms and guide merchants through registration, verification, and onboarding.
- Support merchants in setting up their storefront and publishing their first products.
- Manage the full onboarding process until merchants become active and successfully start selling.
- Coordinate with Product, Operations, Marketing, and Customer Support teams to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
- Record every lead, interaction, and conversion accurately in the CRM.
- Achieve weekly and monthly merchant acquisition and activation targets.
- Gather merchant feedback to improve acquisition strategies, onboarding experience, and product development.
Job Requirements
- Strong communication and negotiation skills (verbal and written).
- Familiarity with Instagram business pages, online sellers, and social commerce.
- Ability to build trust and establish long-term relationships with merchants.
- Proactive problem solver with the ability to identify challenges and provide practical, win-win solutions.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Customer-centric mindset with resilience in handling objections.
- Team player with attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Previous experience in Sales, Business Development, Merchant Acquisition, Account Management, or related roles is a plus.
