We are seeking a skilled and experienced SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) to join our dynamic IT team. The SQL Server DBA will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our organization's SQL Server databases to ensure high performance, availability, and security. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database administration, with expertise in SQL Server technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and upgrade SQL Server database software.
- Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring efficient query execution and data retrieval.
- Implement and maintain database security measures to protect sensitive data.
- Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, such as performance bottlenecks or data corruption.
- Collaborate with developers to design and implement database schemas, stored procedures, and triggers.
- Develop and maintain documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Stay current with SQL Server best practices, trends, and technologies to enhance database performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server database management and optimization techniques.
- Experience with database security, backup and recovery strategies.
- Proficiency in T-SQL scripting and query optimization.
- Develop and maintain of SSIS packages.
- Experience in Partitioning & Archiving.
- Python and shell scripting is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or equivalent certification is a plus.
