Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Android Developer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Android app development, particularly in building and maintaining high-quality mobile applications. Experience in e-commerce development is a plus, especially in integrating Android apps with e-commerce platforms such as Magento through APIs.

As a Senior Android Developer, you will be responsible for driving the development of our Android applications, ensuring smooth integration with our back-end systems, and optimizing app performance to deliver an exceptional user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain advanced Android applications for e-commerce purposes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and back-end developers, to define, design, and deliver new features.
  • Write clean, scalable, and efficient code, following best practices in Android development.
  • Ensure seamless integration of Android applications with back-end services, including Magento or other e-commerce platforms via APIs.
  • Troubleshoot and debug Android apps, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
  • Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and Android development practices.
Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Android development using Java and Kotlin.
  • Strong understanding of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
  • Proficiency in designing and developing high-quality apps with attention to detail.
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs and web services.
  • Experience with e-commerce app development, with knowledge of integrating with Magento or similar e-commerce platforms being a plus.
  • Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
  • Solid understanding of Git and version control systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of Magento APIs and experience integrating Android apps with e-commerce platforms.
  • Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Understanding of mobile UI/UX design principles.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
