Join Bitpin as our first Senior UX Researcher to help our growing Product Design team. As part of a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, you'll build the research practice from the ground up and make sure our product decisions are grounded in evidence rather than assumption. You'll work across our core product experiences from onboarding and first purchase to trading, withdrawals, and new investment products and play a key role in the growth and success of Bitpin.

Responsibilities & Qualifications:
- Research Ownership: Lead generative and evaluative research end to end from framing questions and selecting methods to recruiting, synthesizing, and delivering recommendations. Methods include user interviews, usability testing, contextual inquiry, surveys, and behavioral analysis.
- Judgment: Identify which questions actually need research, push back when a study isn't the answer, and act on gaps you spot before anyone asks.
- Research Operations: Build our participant panel and access process from scratch, including segmentation, consent, incentives, and coordination with support and legal.
- Measurement: Define how we measure experience quality, and evaluate after launch whether what we shipped actually worked.
- Rigor: Cover the full range of user states and edge cases, not just the happy path. Be explicit about bias, validity, and the limits of what a study can claim.
- Activation: Drive findings into decisions. Handing over a report and moving on doesn't count as done.
- Strategy Alignment: Partner with Product, Design, Engineering, Data, and Support to connect research to product and business goals.
- Enablement: Equip designers and product managers with lightweight methods they can run themselves, and maintain a findings repository the team actually uses.
- Autonomy: Prioritize and manage your time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Tools: Proficiency with common research, testing, and analytics tools.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of UX research experience in product organizations, including multi-method studies you led independently.
- Portfolio: Case studies showing your research process, method choices, and the decisions your work influenced (Required).
Bonus Points For:
- Experience being the first researcher in an organization or building a research practice from scratch.
- Ability to turn findings into pattern-level recommendations, not just screen-level fixes.
- Ability to clearly articulate your methodology and disagree productively with confident opinions.
- Familiarity with the fintech or crypto domain.
- Thoughtful use of AI-assisted research tools.
- Experience partnering with data scientists and analysts.
