About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Tech Lead who is passionate about building high-quality software, leading teams, and driving technical excellence. In this role, you will be at the intersection of technology, people, and process — responsible not only for hands-on development but also for shaping the engineering culture, mentoring team members, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable products.

This is a hands-on leadership position, ideal for someone who enjoys both writing code and guiding others to do their best work.
Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Define and drive the technical vision for new and existing software systems
- Make architectural decisions and ensure high standards of system design and implementation
- Own critical parts of the codebase and development lifecycle
- Set coding standards and enforce best practices around testing, security, performance, and maintainability
Team Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Designers to translate business requirements into reliable technical solutions
- Act as a bridge between engineering and other departments to ensure alignment and transparency
- Facilitate clear communication within the team and across stakeholders
People & Process
- Mentor and support the growth of individual engineers through regular feedback and coaching
- Participate in hiring by contributing to job descriptions, interviews, and onboarding
- Guide agile practices such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and technical reviews
- Encourage continuous improvement in both technology and team processes
Requirements
Technical Skills
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience
- 2+ years in a technical leadership or senior engineering role
- Expertise in at least one modern programming language (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Go, Java, C#)
- Strong foundation in software architecture, data modeling, and system design
- Experience with modern development practices: CI/CD, unit/integration testing, containerization, infrastructure as code
- Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases, and experience working with REST or GraphQL APIs
Leadership & Communication
- Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience leading code reviews, resolving technical disagreements, and fostering engineering alignmen
- Ability to balance trade-offs between speed, quality, and scalability in a pragmatic way
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability for the performance and quality of your team’s work
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with distributed systems or high-traffic applications.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Previous work in product-driven or fast-paced startup environments
- Familiarity with monitoring, observability, and incident response practices
- Contributions to open-source projects or technical blogging/speaking
