شرح موقعیت شغلی

As the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), you will manage the current tech team of contractors developing the ApplyBuddy platform. In this hands-on role, you will handle both product management and IT support until the team expands. You will ensure the platform is effective, secure, and aligned with business objectives while providing immediate support to both internal staff and external users.

Important Note: The ideal candidate must have expertise and hands-on experience with Python Django for backend development and Next.js for frontend development. This is a critical requirement for the role.

This role also requires fluency in English, as you will collaborate with international teams and contractors.

Responsibilities:

Product Management and Development:

  • Oversee the development of ApplyBuddy’s platform by managing contractors, ensuring on-time delivery and quality of the product.
  • Ensure the platform’s functionality, security, and performance meet business and user needs.
  • Translate product requirements into clear technical specifications and manage feature development.
  • Oversee platform integrations, security protocols, and system architecture to ensure scalability and reliability.
IT Support:

  • Provide IT support for ApplyBuddy staff and platform users, resolving technical issues and ensuring smooth operations.
  • Troubleshoot and manage system errors, user account issues, and platform maintenance.
  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect user data and system integrity.
Contractor Coordination:

  • Coordinate with external contractors to ensure proper execution of platform development.
  • Communicate project priorities, provide feedback, and conduct quality assurance testing to ensure all technical specifications are met.
Long-term Growth and Strategy:

  • As the company grows, recruit and build a dedicated internal technology team.
  • Define a long-term technology strategy, focusing on platform scalability, improved user experience, and adopting emerging technologies.
Key Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in product management and technology leadership, with a focus on web-based platforms.
  • Strong technical expertise in Python Django (backend) and Next.js (frontend).
  • Hands-on experience in software development and IT support, with experience managing outsourced teams.
  • Fluency in English is required, as you will collaborate with international teams and contractors.
  • Ability to independently manage the platform and technical issues in the short term, with a focus on growing the tech team over time.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience managing contractors and working with remote development teams.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices and web development principles.
Working Conditions:

  • Initially remote, with the possibility of working from ApplyBuddy’s Istanbul office.
  • Flexible hours, with the need to coordinate with contractors across different time zones.
