We’re looking for a Senior Frontend Developer who can take full ownership of complex problems, make sound technical decisions, and build scalable, maintainable frontend systems across web and mobile platforms as our products and teams expand.
This role requires deep architectural insight, a strong grasp of modern web and mobile fundamentals, solid engineering judgment to balance trade-offs against system complexity, and the proactive ability to leverage modern engineering workflows (including AI-assisted development) to deliver high-quality, production-ready solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Feature Ownership: Lead features from technical design, architecture, and implementation through to testing, deployment, and production monitoring.
- Architectural & System Design: Make foundational decisions regarding domain boundaries, shared packages, state management, data flow, and monorepo workspace modularity (e.g., Nx, Turborepo).
- Cross-Platform Application Development: Build, maintain, and optimize responsive, high-performance applications across both web and mobile environments.
- Component Libraries & Reusable Abstractions: Design robust, reusable UI components, internal libraries, and clean abstractions that enforce scalability without adding unnecessary complexity.
- Performance Optimization & Production Debugging: Systematically profile frontend performance, diagnose runtime bottlenecks, resolve production anomalies across layers, and uphold observability/error-monitoring practices.
- Engineering Standards & Workflow Improvement: Enhance CI/CD pipelines, automated testing (unit, integration, and E2E), release strategies, preview environments, and rigorous code reviews.
- Technical Debt & Pragmatic Planning: Actively identify technical debt, participating in technical roadmapping to evaluate when to remediate, contain, or deliberately accept architectural trade-offs.
- AI-Augmented Engineering: Effectively integrate AI-assisted workflows (codebase exploration, automated testing, refactoring, prototyping, and tooling) while maintaining strict engineering accountability, code quality, and security.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience with a demonstrable track record at a Senior level.
- Deep proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern React architectures.
- Hands-on experience building production-grade applications for both web and mobile platforms.
- In-depth understanding of rendering models (SSR, CSR, SSG, hydration), state management, caching, browser runtimes, and networking fundamentals.
- Practical experience with monorepos and workspace boundaries using tooling such as Nx or Turborepo.
- Solid experience in automated testing suites (unit, integration, E2E) and comprehensive Git-based CI/CD workflows.
- Strong awareness of frontend security best practices (XSS, CSRF, authentication flows, secure token storage).
- Proven capability to work through ambiguous product requirements and translate them into robust, pragmatic technical implementations.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Hands-on experience with React Native or other modern cross-platform mobile frameworks.
- Experience with meta-frameworks such as Next.js and progressive web app (PWA) / service-worker architectures.
- Experience developing scalable design systems, shared UI component libraries, and internal developer tooling.
- Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes), feature flagging, and gradual rollout strategies.
- Practical experience with LLM APIs, agent-based development workflows, MCP, or custom developer automation.
- Background working on large-scale, high-traffic consumer-facing platforms.
