Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Backend Developer with expertise in Kotlin and Java. As a founding engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and developing the core architecture of our AI-based customer service platform. We value T-shaped skills, meaning while your primary expertise lies in backend development, you should also be comfortable working across the full stack when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
- Architect & Develop: Design, build, and maintain the backend infrastructure of our AI-based customer service platform using Kotlin.
- Collaborate: Work closely with cross-functional teams including front-end developers, AI/ML engineers, and product managers to deliver a cohesive product.
- Full-Stack Flexibility: While focusing on backend development, contribute to other parts of the stack as needed, including front-end development.
- Optimize & Scale: Ensure the platform is highly scalable, secure, and efficient by implementing best practices in code quality, testing, and deployment.
- Innovate: Stay updated on the latest industry trends, particularly in AI and customer service, and integrate innovative solutions into the platform.
- Mentor & Lead: As one of the founding engineers, contribute to building the engineering culture, and help mentor future hires.
- Problem-Solve: Identify and resolve complex technical challenges that arise during the development process.
- Ownership: Take end-to-end ownership of features and modules, from concept to deployment and beyond.
Qualifications:
- Proven Expertise: 2+ years of experience in backend development, with a strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
- T-Shaped Skills: Demonstrated ability to work across other areas of the tech stack, including front-end development (vue.js, react or similar frameworks).
- AI Interest: Strong interest or experience in AI and machine learning technologies is a plus.
- Startup Mentality: Willingness to wear multiple hats, work in a fast-paced environment, and take on new challenges as they arise.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to think creatively and solve complex problems.
- Collaboration: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive attitude towards collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Education: A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
