• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and application components using C# and modern .NET.
• Translate business and system requirements into practical, maintainable technical solutions.
• Contribute to architectural decisions for distributed systems and independently deployable services.
• Apply appropriate architectural patterns and domain-oriented modelling techniques based on the needs and complexity of each problem.
• Build reliable communication and data-processing workflows across synchronous, asynchronous, and event-driven systems.
• Write clean, testable, maintainable, and efficient code with careful consideration for security, resilience, and operational reliability.
• Create and maintain appropriate automated tests, including unit-level and service-level testing.
• Review code and designs, identify technical risks, and provide constructive guidance to other engineers.
• Investigate production issues, resolve root causes, and improve system performance and observability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout planning, development, delivery, and support.
• Maintain clear and useful technical documentation for services, decisions, and operational processes.
• Help improve development practices, delivery processes, and the overall quality of the engineering organization.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 5 years of professional software development experience, with substantial hands-on experience in backend development using C# and .NET.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, common design principles, and maintainable software design.
• Practical experience designing and developing HTTP APIs and backend services.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, service boundaries, and common integration patterns.
• Experience working with relational data stores, data modelling, and an established .NET data-access technology.
• Experience writing automated unit and integration tests and designing software for testability.
• Familiarity with source control, code review, continuous integration, and continuous delivery practices.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.

• Experience building or operating microservice-based or other distributed backend systems.
• Familiarity with Clean Architecture, Onion Architecture, or comparable approaches to separation of concerns and dependency management.
• Experience with asynchronous messaging, event streaming, and message-driven application design.
• Practical understanding of domain-driven design and the judgement to apply its patterns where they provide meaningful value.
• Experience with concurrency, parallel processing, or reactive programming approaches.
• Familiarity with relational databases, distributed caching, and search or indexing technologies.
• Experience with containers, cloud platforms, automated delivery pipelines, and production observability.
• Previous experience in FinTech, payments, banking, or another regulated and high-availability environment is an advantage.
• Java and spring framework knowledge is an advantage.

• Sound engineering judgement and the ability to select solutions appropriate to the problem rather than applying patterns mechanically.
• Ownership of work from design through production support.
• A strong focus on correctness, security, reliability, and maintainability.
• Willingness to challenge assumptions, share knowledge, and continuously improve.
• Ability to balance long-term technical quality with practical business delivery.
