Design Team Leader

Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Remote
Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM (Flexible)

We are a fast-growing digital marketing and technology company with a remote team of 25–30 professionals. We value ownership, creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

We’re looking for a Design Team Leader who combines strong design expertise with people leadership, process thinking, and a hands-on approach.

About the Role

You will lead and mentor our design team while owning the quality, performance, and delivery of design projects.

You’ll collaborate with Marketing, Product, Development, and other teams to deliver high-quality digital experiences while improving design processes, workflows, and team performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the design team.
  • Set design standards and ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Review and provide feedback on UI/UX, graphic, and visual designs.
  • Manage design projects, priorities, deadlines, and workload.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Build and improve design processes, systems, and workflows.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and team development.
  • Stay hands-on with design, especially on complex or high-priority projects.
  • Explore and implement AI tools and emerging technologies to improve design quality and efficiency.
Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in UI/UX and Graphic Design.
  • Previous experience leading, managing, or mentoring a design team.
  • Strong portfolio covering UI, UX, Product, and Graphic Design.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design and usability.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong design critique, QA, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken English (tested during the interview).
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with modern AI tools for design and creative workflows.
  • Experience working in a remote or distributed team.
  • Experience in a digital marketing agency is a plus.
