Job description

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Team Leader to lead and grow our DevOps function whileremaining actively involved in technical initiatives. In this role, you will drive infrastructure strategy,establish DevOps standards and best practices, oversee cloud and on-premises platforms, andcollaborate with engineering teams to build scalable, secure, and reliable systems. You will mentor anddevelop DevOps engineers, guide architectural decisions, and lead automation, CI/CD, observability, andplatform engineering initiatives. This position is intended for senior professionals with proven experienceleading teams and designing production-scale infrastructure environments.

Responsibilities


  • Lead and mentor the DevOps team, fostering technical growth and engineering excellence.
  • Define and execute the organization's DevOps, Platform Engineering, and Cloud Infrastructurestrategy.
  • Design and oversee scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure architectures.
  • Establish and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and configuration managementstandards.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
  • Lead Kubernetes, containerization, and cloud-native platform initiatives.
  • Define monitoring, logging, alerting, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Drive infrastructure security, compliance, and DevSecOps best practices.
  • Optimize system performance, reliability, scalability, and operational costs.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams on architecture and technology decisions.
  • Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Required

  • 6+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, or related roles.
  • 2+ years of experience leading technical teams or driving infrastructure architecture decisions.
  • Strong expertise in Linux systems administration, networking, and infrastructure troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker andKubernetes.
  • Experience designing, deploying, and operating production-grade Kubernetes clusters.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools such as GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins,Argo CD, or similar.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools (Terraform, OpenTofu,Ansible, etc.).
  • Experience with API Gateway solutions (Kong, Envoy, NGINX Gateway, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with observability platforms, including monitoring, logging, tracing, andalerting systems (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ELK, OpenTelemetry, Tempo, etc.).
  • Experience implementing security best practices, DevSecOps processes, secrets management,and vulnerability management.
  • Experience designing highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant systems.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with microservices and cloud-native architectures.

Nice to Have


  • Experience with Service Mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd, etc.).
  • Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL clustering, or Redis clustering.
  • Experience with SRE practices, capacity planning, and reliability engineering.
  • Experience in FinTech, high-traffic, or mission-critical production environments
