About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to help maintain and evolve a large Node.js platform that is already in production. You will build and improve APIs and business workflows, work with our database and messaging infrastructure, integrate with external systems, and steadily improve an established codebase while keeping it stable.
Requirements
■ 4+ years of backend development experience, including strong Node.js and modern JavaScript
■ Experience building RESTful APIs with Express.js or a similar framework
■ Good working knowledge of PostgreSQL and SQL, including query optimization
■ Experience with an ORM such as Sequelize
■ Familiarity with message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ) and caching with Redis
■ Understanding of API security fundamentals: authentication, authorization, and JWT
■ Comfortable with Git, Docker, and writing automated tests
■ Ability to understand and work effectively within a large existing codebase
Nice to Have
■ Experience with workflow engines or BPMS
■ Experience with microservices or worker-based architectures
■ Integration with external systems, including SOAP web services
■ Familiarity with MinIO or other S3-compatible storage, and Socket.IO
■ Exposure to CI/CD, monitoring, and centralized logging
■ Background in enterprise, healthcare, or e-government systems
