What You’ll Be Working On

  • Developing and maintaining the Filimo Android & Android TV app
  • Building modern Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
  • Working with ExoPlayer for media streaming
  • Implementing Android TV features with the Leanback Library
  • Implementing UDF architecture with a mix of MVVM and MVP (legacy)
  • Writing unit tests, UI tests, and screenshot tests to ensure high-quality code
  • Dependency injection with Dagger Hilt
  • Database management using Room
  • Efficient background processing with Kotlin Coroutines
  • Handling legacy Fragments, Activities, and Android Views

Must-Have Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Kotlin and modern Android development
  • Experience with Jetpack Compose
  • Familiarity with UDF architecture, MVVM, and MVP patterns
  • Comfortable working with legacy codebases alongside modern implementations
  • Solid understanding of testing best practices (unit tests, UI tests, screenshot testing)
  • Experience with Dagger Hilt, Coroutines, and Room database

 Nice-to-Have (Bonus) Skills

  • Experience with ExoPlayer for media streaming
  • Experience with Android TV (Leanback Library)
  • Prior work with custom views, complex animations, and transitions
  • Knowledge of performance optimizations, profiling, and debugging Android apps
