Job Title: Data Engineer

Location: Remote

Job Description:

We are seeking a Data Engineer to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will design, build, and maintain our data infrastructure, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions to meet business needs.

Requirements:

·         Minimum 2 years of experience as a data engineer.

·         Strong knowledge of big data ecosystems, databases, and cloud platforms.

·         Experience with ETL tools and processes.

·         Ability to work remotely and collaborate with a distributed team.

Responsibilities:

·         Design, construct, and maintain our data processing systems and infrastructure.

·         Develop and manage ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.

·         Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure reliable and scalable data solutions.

·         Optimize system performance, ensuring efficient data flow, storage, and retrieval.

·         Mentor junior data engineers, leading by example in terms of best practices and process.

·         Ensure data security and privacy compliance across all data solutions.

·         Stay updated with industry trends and technologies, integrating them where beneficial.

·         Oversee data lifecycle management, understanding and managing data evolution over time.

Qualifications:

·         Proficiency in English at B2 level.

·         Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is a plus. 

·         Proven experience with big data ecosystems like Hadoop and Spark.

·         Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra.

·         Experience using cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.

·         Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex data infrastructures.

·         Proficiency in languages such as Python, Java, Scala, and SQL.
