Senior Java Backend Developer

We are looking for a Senior Java Backend Developer who can design and build reliable, scalable, and maintainable backend systems. This role is hands-on and code-focused, not a team lead position.

The ideal candidate should have strong Java and Spring experience, understand software architecture and system design, and be able to write clean, efficient, and production-ready code. We are looking for someone who can think beyond tasks, understand the product and technical context, and help us improve the quality, performance, and scalability of our backend services.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Build clean, scalable, and maintainable APIs and business logic.
  • Contribute to architecture and technical design discussions.
  • Work closely with product, frontend, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality features.
  • Improve code quality, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Participate in code reviews and help maintain engineering standards.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and optimize backend services.
  • Work with databases, messaging systems, caching, and external integrations.
  • Use AI-powered coding tools effectively to improve development speed and code quality.
Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Java Backend Developer.
  • Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, JPA/Hibernate, and RESTful APIs.
  • Good understanding of software architecture, clean code, design patterns, and scalable system design.
  • Experience with SQL databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
  • Ability to analyze problems deeply and deliver practical technical solutions.
  • Experience working with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and production environments.
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Experience with microservices architecture is a plus.
  • Ability to work full-time and join within two weeks.
Important Advantage

Experience using AI-powered coding tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or similar tools is considered an important advantage. We value developers who know how to use AI to write better code, review solutions, debug problems, and improve productivity without losing ownership of the final result.
