Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Data Manager to oversee the development and use of data systems. You will discover efficient ways to organize, store and analyze data with attention to security and confidentiality.
A great data manager is able to fully grasp the complexity of data management. The goal is to ensure that information flows timely and securely to and from the organization as well as within.
You will implement and validate predictive models, and create and maintain statistical models with a focus on big data.
Creating and enforcing policies for effective data management
You will use statistical concepts such as regression, time series, mixed model, Bayesian methods, clustering, etc., to analyze data and provide insights.
Help continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, simplifying self-service support for internal customers.
Basic Qualifications
- 6+ years' of overall work experience in including Data Engineering, Database Engineering, Business Intelligence.
- Demonstrable skills and experience using SQL with large data sets.
- Proven experience in data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing, or similar skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of a programming or scripting language (Python, Perl, or JavaScript)
- Strong data modeling skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with ability to balance competing priorities.
- An ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired and ambiguity is the norm.
- Experience designing and operating very large Data Warehouses.
- Strong data modeling skills.
