Responsibilities

Participate in strategic project-planning to provide assess risks, impact, cost vs. benefits
Create and share operational requirements and development forecasts to allow for accurate planning
Develop IT solutions, implement reusable components, translate technical requirements, assist with all stages of test data, and perform script maintenance and updates
Build, integrate, and deploy independent web-based tools, services, and solutions
Build automated deployments using configuration management technologies
Create requirements and procedures for implementing routine maintenance, troubleshooting existing information systems for errors and resolving those errors
Evaluate performance and give recommendations for enhancing it via gap analysis

Professional Skills:

Hands-on experience in networking security, databases and cloud systems
Profound knowledge in various scripting languages, system & server administration and mass system deployments
Wide knowledge in operating system administration, programming languages, cloud platform deployment and networking protocols
Outstanding knowledge in release engineering
Proficiency with source control, preferably Git
Proficiency with continuous integration tools, namely Jenkins, Travis CI, Bamboo, Gitlab CI
Working experience with orchestration solutions, such as Kubernetes and Docker Swarm
Proficiency with virtualization and containerization tools (Docker, VMWare, VirtualBox, Vagrant, etc.)

Qualifications:

B.S. Degree in Computer Science or related field.
4+ years' experience with Linux operating systems and systems administration.
3+ years' experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet or Chef.
Operational knowledge of common enterprise switching and routing platforms including Load Balancers and Firewalls.
Operational knowledge of encryption, storage subsystems, disaster recovery, and other core infrastructure technologies (DNS, HTTP, Routing, Firewalls, Load Balancers, etc.).
Basic understanding of SQL and NoSQL technologies such as MySQL, MongoDB, Redis.
Held a prior role with responsibility for High Scalability/Availability Systems Architecture, Security, and Production Support.
