Phinix is seeking a passionate product security engineer who derives purpose in life by revealing potential weaknesses and then crafting creative solutions to eliminate those weaknesses. Your skills will be the foundation of security initiatives that protect the security and privacy of Phinix products and users. You will be relied upon to provide engineering and product teams with the security expertise necessary to make confident product decisions.
We are looking for a Security Engineer who will work collaboratively with our development team to identify top areas of risk and vulnerabilities in our applications. You'll work cross-functionally to implement the security controls and solutions you define.
Responsibilities:
- Working with development teams to provide them with help and guidance on addressing cybersecurity threats.
- Conducting threat modelling and SDLC. Training development teams on how to run them.
- Auditing and Reviewing application codes as security perspectives.
- Participating in security issue management processes.
- Educating and supporting development teams perform security activities
- Appsec tooling and integrations like security issue tracking and SAST tools if needed.
- Research security best practices in other organizations.
- Keeping abreast of new vulnerabilities and attack vectors, and associated countermeasures specially in fintech/cryptocurrency industry.
