Job Description

Pelk is looking for a creative and detail-oriented content writer to develop content for print, digital, and social media platforms. This role will be responsible to create content for a variety of projects (including web and social media). Our content writer will work closely with the design team to brainstorm ideas, create concepts, and develop content. Thorough research of various topics and industry trends will be required to understand each project's needs. Excellent grammar, writings, and translation skills are required for this position. 

Responsibilities:

  1. Research and understand the client's needs and target audiences, through online searches, reviews of existing research, interviews with subject matter experts, and in-person meetings.
  2. Research industry-related topics. (combining online sources, interviews, and studies)
  3. Conduct simple keyword research and use search engine optimization (SEO) strategies to increase web traffic.
  4. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of communication and client-related industry trends.
  5. Identify customers’ needs and gaps in content and recommend new topics.
  6. Continually raise the bar on creativity, writing fresh content that connects with the desired audience and drives action.
  7. Maintain a content calendar for planning and delivering tasks on time.
  8. Develop well-researched content for multiple platforms, such as websites, social media, product descriptions, and blogs. 

Requirements:

  1. Proven work experience as a Content Writer, Copywriter, or similar role. (Portfolio of published articles)
  2. Basic understanding of search engine optimization best practices.
  3. Ability to work independently with little or no daily supervision.
  4. Basic hands-on experience with WordPress.
  5. Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to communicate with clients, colleagues, and management.
  6. Strong writing, research, and reporting skills.
  7. Proficiency with computers, especially writing programs, such as Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  8. Basic photoshop skills are also required for this role.
  9. Ability to work on multiple projects with different objectives simultaneously.
  10. Exceptional English to Persian translation skills.  
  11. Ability to attend weekly or monthly in-person meetings. 

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or related discipline

Working Hours:

  • Saturdays to Tuesdays (10 AM to 14:30 PM)
  • Wednesdays (10 AM to 13 PM)
