Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Kernel and Networking Specialist with deep expertise in kernel development, VPP, and DPDK. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing our custom router OS based on Debian. This role requires hands-on experience with heavy IPSec encryption/decryption processes and an understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities that come with high-performance network system development.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the system design team to develop a custom router OS based on Debian.
Optimize and modify the Linux kernel to suit specific networking and performance requirements.
Integrate, configure, and optimize VPP for the data plane operations.
Leverage DPDK to enhance packet processing capabilities and throughput.
Implement and test heavy IPSec encryption/decryption processes for our router OS.
Collaborate with QA engineers to troubleshoot and resolve any software defects.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in kernel development, VPP, DPDK, and related networking technologies.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in Linux kernel development and optimization.
Deep knowledge of VPP and DPDK with hands-on experience in implementing and optimizing them in a networking environment.
Familiarity with network protocols, particularly IPSec, and their implementation details.
Proficient in C/C++ and other relevant programming languages.
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Desired Skills:


Familiarity with Debian-based systems.
Experience with ARM or x86-64 hardware architectures.
Understanding of modern network hardware and its interplay with software components.
