Ostadkar is looking for a Software Test Engineer. As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for planning and implementing tests that prove the functional and non-functional requirements of the system. You are going to participate in agile scrum teams which include cross-functional members of the team. Ostadkar is seeking passionate and energetic individuals to join our full-time team in Tehran, Iran. Identify needs and problems and proactively drive solutions.

Skills And Requirements 



  • Excellent knowledge in testing skills (design test plan and test strategy, writing test cases, executing test cases, opening bugs, verifying bugs).
  • Execute test strategies to develop a full spectrum of test coverage including manual, automated and exploratory test suites.
  • Working knowledge of Python, Javascript.
  • Working knowledge of a SQL database such as Postgresql.
  • Working knowledge with REST APIs, verifying HTTP responses, methods, headers, etc.
  • Experience with Jira, Jmeter, SOAP UI and similar technologies.
  • Experience with at least one testing automation tool such as Selenium.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of a Linux OS.
  • Ability to work alone and in a team environment.
  • You are not afraid of learning new testing tools.

Interview Process



Our process for evaluating candidates is constituted of multiple steps as follows:



 



Step 1: 



The CTO reviews all applications, and potential ones are selected for a phone interview. He/she will look for the best match for the hiring position. Therefore, please read the job description thoroughly to increase your chance.



 



Step 2:



A short phone interview will be conducted with the potential candidate by a senior member of our technical team. We will go over your resume and ask questions about the technology stack you had experience. It will be between 10 to 15 minutes.



 



Step 3: 



A mini project is designed for the candidate to do in less than a week. A senior member of our technical team will be in charge of helping you with this project. 



 



Step 4:



We will invite you to have a chat. In this meeting, we will review your code and discuss your approach. 



 



At each step, if we cannot proceed with your application, you'll be notified by email or the medium you applied. However, if you did not get any notification, you are on our waitlist.
