Job description:
As a Python Developer you’ll build the services that support Offerland’s machine learning models.
Offerland provides its customers with data-intensive analytical and machine learning applications. Here, you’ll
work with varieties of technologists such as web frameworks (Django, Flask), storages (Postgres, Postgis,
Redis, Elasticsearch), serverless (lambda), container orchestration (Docker-compose, Swarm, k8s), all
supported by the AWS cloud infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
● Write effective, scalable code
● Develop back-end components to improve responsiveness and overall performance
● Coordinate with internal teams to understand user requirements and provide technical solutions
Required Skills:
● Good problem-solving skills
● Knowledge of algorithms and data structures
● Experience with writing modular, robust, scalable software in Python
● Expertise in at least one popular Python web framework (Django, Flask, FastAPI, or Pyramid)
● Skillful in Git version control
● Knowledge of databases and SQL
● Familiarity with the Unix command line and bash scripting
● Knowledge of object-relational mapping
● Familiar with docker and containerization
● Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life
cycle, including testing methods, coding standards, code reviews, and CI/CD
● [bonus] Previous experience with data low-latency and/or high-bandwidth data pipelines
