About the role
You will own the analytics and measurement layer across the products we manage. That means designing event taxonomies, instrumenting them across web and mobile, wiring up attribution and engagement tools, and building the custom dashboards that turn raw events into clear, decision-ready views.
This is a technical specialist role. You are the person engineers, product owners, and account leads come to when they need to know: "what should we be tracking, is it set up correctly, and where do I see the answer?" You set the technical roadmap for analytics. You do not own marketing, ad spend, or content — those sit elsewhere.
What you’ll do
- Design tracking plans — define event taxonomies and properties per product, document them, and keep them current as features evolve.
- Instrument events end-to-end — implement on web through GTM and the dataLayer, on mobile through Mixpanel, Adjust, and AppsFlyer SDKs, and on server-side where it matters.
- Wire up attribution and engagement — configure Adjust and AppsFlyer for iOS and Android (install attribution, deep links, deferred deep links, fraud filters), Meta Pixel and Conversions API for paid channels, and OneSignal for push and in-app engagement.
- Build custom dashboards — compose dashboards in Mixpanel and where needed in a BI tool, combining product, attribution, and revenue events into views that answer specific business questions.
- Audit and harden — catch broken events, duplicate fires, missing properties, and attribution mismatches before they become reporting problems.
- Partner with engineering — work with mobile and backend engineers to make sure events fire correctly on every release; add tracking to PR review checklists.
- Document and hand off — leave behind tracking plans, dashboard READMEs, and runbooks that any future engineer can pick up.
What we’re looking for
- 3–6 years of hands-on analytics implementation work — not just using dashboards, but building the layer underneath them.
- Production experience with Mixpanel: event design, funnels, retention reports, JQL or Insights queries.
- Strong Google Tag Manager: custom tags, triggers, variables, dataLayer design, and tag debugging.
- Mobile attribution experience with Adjust and/or AppsFlyer: SDK integration on iOS and Android, attribution windows, deep links, deferred deep links, and postback configuration.
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Conversions API: server-side conversion sending, event deduplication, advanced matching.
- SQL fluent enough to join, window, and aggregate event data without help.
- JavaScript / TypeScript comfortable enough to write custom GTM tags, web-side event helpers, and read tracking code in product repos.
- A clear sense of event taxonomy design — naming conventions, property structure, and how to keep a plan from rotting over time.
- Good written English. Most documentation, tickets, and handoffs are in English.
Nice to have
- OneSignal in production: push templates, segmentation, automated journeys, and tying push events back into analytics.
- Experience with a data warehouse (BigQuery, Snowflake, Postgres) and basic ETL with Python or a tool like dbt.
- A second BI tool in addition to Mixpanel — Metabase, Looker, Superset, or similar.
- Experience working across multiple client engagements at once.
- Arabic, given a large share of our clients are in Kuwait and KSA.
- Familiarity with privacy and consent frameworks (consent mode, IDFA, GDPR/CCPA).
How you’ll work
You sit on the nizek team and report to the CTO or Tech Lead on each engagement. Client communication on analytics flows through our existing channels — you will not be cold-pinged by clients, but you will be on calls when measurement is on the agenda. You set the technical roadmap for analytics across products; the business strategy and marketing decisions sit with the client and account leads.
