Key Responsibilities:


  • Design, implement, and manage MySQL clustering solutions to ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability. Expertly handle various MySQL clustering technologies, including MySQL Cluster, Galera Cluster, and others. Troubleshoot and resolve issues specific to MySQL clusters across different versions and configurations.
  • Develop and maintain robust backup and restore strategies to safeguard data integrity. Perform regular backups and test recovery processes to ensure data availability. Implement and manage disaster recovery solutions.
  • Continuously monitor and optimize database performance for MySQL databases. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to ensure efficient and responsive database operations. Apply best practices for database tuning and optimization.
  • Perform advanced Linux server administration tasks to support MySQL databases. Troubleshoot and resolve network issues affecting database performance and connectivity. Configure and manage system resources to optimize database performance.
  • Work closely with application teams to understand and fulfill database requirements. Provide technical support and guidance to ensure seamless integration of MySQL databases with applications. Collaborate effectively with developers and other stakeholders on database-related tasks.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex database issues, with a focus on MySQL clustering. Implement preventive measures to mitigate potential database problems. Maintain high availability and reliability of database systems.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, procedures, and best practices. Generate regular reports on database performance, backup status, and other key metrics. Ensure thorough documentation for troubleshooting and recovery processes.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in MySQL technologies and best practices. Propose and implement improvements to database infrastructure and processes. Participate in ongoing training and professional development.

Qualifications:


·         Minimum of 5 years of experience in MySQL database administration in enterprise environment.


·         Deep and comprehensive knowledge of MySQL clustering solutions and high availability configurations.


·         Extensive experience with MySQL backup and restore techniques.


·         Proficient in performance tuning and optimization of MySQL databases.


·         Strong expertise in Linux administration and network troubleshooting related to MySQL.


·         Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to resolve complex database issues.


·         Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with various teams.


·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
