Research Assistant Position
Hydroinformatics Centre offers a research assistant position with the job description as follows.
Requirements:
- Essential qualifications: Holding an MSc degree from a high ranking Iranian University in Civil Engineering: Water Engineering and Hydraulic Structures/ Coasts, Ports and Marine Structures;
- Desired qualifications: Holding a PhD degree or being a PhD Candidate from/at a reputable Iranian University in Civil Engineering: Water Engineering and Hydraulic Structures/ Coasts, Ports and Marine Structures;
- A good grasp of the English language;
- An adequate or higher knowledge of numerical modelling;
- Enthusiasm for research
- Dedication of flexible 60-100 hours per month (15-25 hours per week)
Publications in the field are desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Checking facts, proofreading, and editing research documents to ensure accuracy,
- Preparing graphs and spreadsheets to portray results,
- Creating presentation slides,
- Reviewing print and online resources to gather information,
- Preparing other articles, reports, and presentations,
- Supervising students working on their research project (maintaining records on assignment completion, acting as mediator between the students and the supervisor),
- Writing and editing materials for publication and presentation,
- Performing other related duties as required.
