Flightio, one of the leading Online Travel agencies (OTA), seeks a talented and experienced Data Engineer to join our Data team. As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our data infrastructure, supporting large-scale travel data collection, processing, and analysis. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, analysts, and software engineers, to ensure the availability and reliability of data for internal applications.


Responsibilities:



  • Designing and implementing end-to-end data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources, including Sales Data, User Behaviour Data, Google APIs data, etc.
  • Monitoring and Optimizing the performance of the ELK platform, identifying and resolving bottlenecks, optimizing queries, and fine-tuning configurations to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
  • Integrating diverse technologies within our stack, such as Python, ELK, Airflow, and MySQL, to create comprehensive data solutions.
  • Develop and implement data cleaning procedures, including data standardization, deduplication, and normalization. Use tools and techniques to clean and transform data to ensure its accuracy and compatibility with downstream processes.
  • Leveraging Data WareHouses to handle large-scale data processing and transformation efficiently and effectively.
  • Contributing to the optimization of data pipelines for performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including Data Analyst, DevOps, and Software Engineers, to understand data requirements and ensure smooth integration of data pipelines.
  • Playing a pivotal role in shaping data architecture and strategies for our Data Monitoring systems.

Requirements:



  • Previous experience as a data engineer or in a similar role 
  • BS/MS or more in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or another quantitative field or related experience.
  • Familiar with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including MongoDB and Elasticsearch.
  • Experienced or familiar with the ELK platform.
  • Expert in Data Warehousing, ETL, and BI fundamentals.
  • Experienced with Linux.
  • Skilled in SQL and Python.
  • Experienced in data-infra projects.
  • Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets. 
  • Experienced in Excel and Power BI.
  • Ability to design and develop ML infrastructure and services 
  • Familiar with Big data solutions such as Spark and Hadoop.
