The team
The IT Administration team oversees and maintains all aspects of our IT infrastructure. This includes maintaining networks, servers, and security systems, troubleshooting to address system problems, and assessing issues with computer systems, viruses, and potential threats to our IT network. As a IT Administrator, you’ll optimise the IT infrastructure performance. Your technical expertise will help in accomplishing an enhanced IT system efficiency. You will work with IT systems, networks, and related technologies, analyse the future capacity needs, and help implement best practices in IT administration.

The IT Administration team oversees and maintains all aspects of our IT infrastructure. This includes maintaining networks, servers, and security systems, troubleshooting to address system problems, and assessing issues with computer systems, viruses, and potential threats to our IT network. You will work with IT systems, networks, and related technologies, analyse the future capacity needs, and help implement best practices in IT administration.
Responsibilities
● Monitor networks and servers to make sure they are running smoothly.
● Upgrade, install, and configure new software and hardware in accordance with standards and operational requirements.
● Implement security protocols and firewalls to prevent potential threats and system downtime.
● Perform troubleshooting exercises and debugging procedures to optimise our systems.
● Develop data retrieval and recovery procedures and document the processes.
● Create system manuals to help manage our IT assets better and help employees resolve technical issues.
● Negotiate with vendors to choose secure and scalable systems.
Minimum requirements
● Graduate diploma or university degree in computer science or information technology, or equivalent training and experience
● Ability to plan and implement best practices in IT administration and analyse future IT needs to maintain an agile environment
● Sound knowledge and experience in troubleshooting computer software, hardware, networks, and internet applications
● Expertise in firewall appliances such as FortiGate or similar software (e.g. Cisco, pfSense)
● Knowledge of Windows, Mac, or Linux technologies and associated security features
● In-depth understanding of VPN concepts and experience in setting up site-to-site networks
● Proven communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
● Good interpersonal skills
● Fluency in spoken and written English
Preferred experience
● Experience in End-user device security audit and policy implementation
● Experience with Aruba or similar enterprise WAP management
