In this role you will be a part of our android Platform team working on the core AOSP, working on building our AOSP distribution and services that drive E-book reader experiences.

 

Responsibility

  • Building and maintaining our AOSP distribution
  • Design, build, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable Android services (Java/Kotlin as well as C++)
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks, and own our multi-tiered platform’s performance end-to-end.
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation
  • Leverage your in-depth understanding of the platform architecture to assess and participate in the technical design, feasibility, and planning process
  • Dive into existing code bases, maintain, debug and expand while maintaining existing code level
REQUIREMENTS

 

Must have:

  • Must-have Deep experience with Android Open Source Project (AOSP) & Android Kernel
  • Knowledge of the Android SDK performance tools and optimization techniques
  • 5+ years of Android Development experience
  • Advance level knowledge of  Kotlin
  • Experience bringing up and porting Android on custom hardware platforms
  • Extensive up-to-date experience with the Android SDK and its wide array of facilities
  • Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
  • Experience working with Linux-based operation systems and kernels
  • Android HAL/HIDL, SE Linux policies, Android Power management, Android thermal management, Battery charging, Bootloader, Kernel drivers
 

Advantages:

  • Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
  • Experience with Android NDK C/C++ development along with JNI
  • Experience with Android static analysis tools
  • Optimizing system image size, Boot time improvement, Performance analysis - CPU/Memory usage and Optimization, Bus systems (I2C, SPI)
  • passion for programming embedded processors with C and C++
  • Good knowledge of S.O.C’s, Processors, and hardware vendors In Tablets/Smartphones
  • Experience monitoring, diagnosis, and performance analysis on AOSP and Android-compatible SoCs.
