Scrum Master
Job Description
Implement Project Management:
- Conduct Scrum ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Ensure adherence to Scrum principles and practices.
- Help the team understand and implement Agile concepts and methodologies.
Agile Engineering Practices:
- Implementing continuous integration and deployment
- Encouraging Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD)
- Promoting a culture of refactoring and code quality
- Fostering an adaptive approach to emergent architecture and design
Removing Impediments:
- Identify and address obstacles that hinder the team's progress.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues related to resources, dependencies, or organizational constraints.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging the team to raise and address impediments proactively.
Supporting Product Owner:
- Facilitating effective communication between the Product Owner and the development team to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria
- Understanding product planning in an empirical environment.
- Ensuring the Product Owner knows how to arrange the Product Backlog to maximize value.
Supporting Development Team:
- Coaching the Development Team in self-organization and cross-functionality
- Helping the Development Team to create high-value products
- Removing impediments to the Development Team’s progress
- Facilitating Scrum events as requested or needed
- Coaching the Development Team in organizational environments in which Scrum is not yet fully adopted and understood
Requirements
- Education level: Bachelor's degree or higher, computer science, electrical engineering, or other related fields.
- Experience: 3 years
- Agile principles and practices (Scrum, Kanban, or Lean)
- Agile project management tools (Jira, Trello, or Azure DevOps)
- Familiar with large agile frameworks like SAFe
