Job Description

We are a travel agency company. We are building a flight booking platform, a new stays booking product, and rewriting our back-office system from scratch using Next.js. We are looking for a Front-End Developer to join our team and help us build and grow the product. We care about product excellence — the tech we use is just a tool to get there. This role is a good fit for someone who is sharp, curious, and wants to keep growing as a developer.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain features for our flight booking platform, our new stays booking product, and our back-office rewrite.
  • Turn designs and API data into clean, responsive, well-typed UI components.
  • Build and improve reusable components for our shared design system (built with Radix UI and shadcn/ui).
  • Work closely with our backend developer and designer to plan, build, and ship features.
  • Help design modular, scalable frontend architecture across our monorepo, and contribute to state management solutions that keep data consistent and the app stable.
  • Join code reviews — give feedback and learn from feedback.
  • Use AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.) in your daily work to move faster, but always review and understand the code they produce.
  • Help keep the app fast — care about bundle size, loading speed, and Core Web Vitals.
  • Debug problems across the app and take ownership of the features you build.
  • Be proactive — spot problems, gaps, or improvements on your own, without waiting to be asked.
Required Skills

  • 2+ years of professional experience building production applications with React and Next.js.
  • Good understanding of JavaScript fundamentals. We use TypeScript daily, so solid TypeScript skills are a must.
  • Experience working with REST APIs.
  • Experience with a state management tool (React Query, Zustand, Redux, or similar).
  • Strong CSS skills and experience with Tailwind CSS.
  • Some experience with Radix UI and shadcn/ui, or willingness to learn them quickly.
  • Experience rewriting or migrating legacy code to a modern stack.
  • Strong debugging skills — able to find and fix bugs across the app, not just in your own code.
  • Comfortable with Git and working in a team (branches, pull requests, code review).
  • Proactive and self-driven — takes initiative instead of waiting for instructions.
  • Curious, motivated, and excited to keep learning new things on your own.
  • Comfortable using AI coding tools as part of real, daily work.
Preferred/Optional Skills

  • Experience with Monorepo tools (Turborepo, Nx) and shared packages.
  • Experience with SSR, SSG, or ISR in Next.js.
  • Experience with performance tools (Lighthouse, Chrome DevTools, React DevTools).
  • Basic understanding of authentication (JWT, Keycloak, refresh tokens).
  • Experience with Mapbox GL for working with maps.
  • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Sentry).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI).
  • Keeps up to date with new tools, libraries, and best practices in the frontend world.
