DivNotes is a leading software development firm based in Toronto that partners with both startups and enterprises to help them achieve their business goals. We are seeking an experienced Software Project Manager who will be responsible for managing the entire life cycle of software development projects, ensuring successful delivery within budget, scope and timelines.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, QAT engineers, and product owners
- Identify project risks, develop risk mitigation strategies, and escalate issues to senior management when necessary
- Facilitate project meetings, status updates, and issue resolution
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and customer expectations
- Actively monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to ensure successful project delivery
- Manage project scope and change requests
- Coach and mentor team members to improve project management skills and best practices
- Communicate regularly with clients to understand their needs, provide status updates, and manage expectations
- Define project requirements, technical specifications, and timelines in collaboration with clients and developers
- Lead a team of developers by providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure project success
- Collaborate with team members to ensure alignment with company goals and standards
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, timelines, budgets, risk assessments, and artifacts
- Monitor project performance and provide regular reports to the administration team
- Conduct post-project reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to processes and procedures as needed
- Manage multiple software development projects simultaneously and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software products.
Requirements:
- Fluency in both written and verbal English
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software project management
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple software development projects simultaneously
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum and Kanban
- Experience using project management tools such as Jira, Asana, Trello, etc.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
- Experience managing large-scale software development projects from initiation to closure
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Ability to build and manage high-performing project teams
- Knowledge of software development processes and technologies
- PMP or Prince2 certification is a plus.
